Overview
Digital noise reduction on both transmit and receive drives this Radioddity ten meter mobile rig that covers SSB, AM, FM and PA modes, with a signal meter and a NOAA weather alert built in.
Clear audio and SSB range on the ten meter band from a truck-size radio is the reason to fit one. It transmits only on amateur frequencies, so CB channels and unlicensed use are out.
Who it's for
Suited to licensed amateurs running ten meter nets and road trips. Unlicensed drivers looking for CB chatter should buy a CB radio instead.
Pros and cons
- SSB adds long-distance reach
- Digital noise reduction both ways
- NOAA weather alerts
- Mic and USB cable included
- Amateur 10 meter only, not CB
- Antenna not included
- Dimensions not listed
Performance notes
Range on ten meters depends on antenna and band conditions, with SSB carrying further than FM. Noise reduction filters engine and road noise so weak signals are easier to copy.
