Overview
In a truck cab, RV or off-road rig, the Retevis mini CB brings radio in a compact body with a magnetic antenna and cigarette lighter plug. AM gives longer reach and FM clearer sound, with noise filtering for road use.
Everything needed to get on air is in the box, which makes it easy for first-time CB users. A magnetic antenna is quick to fit but less efficient than a properly mounted one.
Who it's for
Long-haul drivers, RV travelers and off-road convoys suit this kit. Open-cab vehicles exposed to rain need a waterproof unit.
Pros and cons
- AM and FM modes
- Noise filtering functions
- Compact for tight dashboards
- Not water resistant
- Weight listed two ways
- Magnetic antenna limits range
Performance notes
Range depends on the antenna's height and ground plane, so a roof-centered magnet mount works well. AM reaches further, FM sounds cleaner. Squelch and noise blanker filter engine and road noise.
