Overview

ORIJEN's Epic Bites are freeze-dried morsels in the Tundra recipe, made by Champion Petfoods and sold in a 6 ounce bag. They're grain-free and formulated for all life stages except growth in large breed dogs over 70 pounds as adults.

The freeze-dried format is positioned here for two uses, appetite stimulation and training, rather than as a full daily meal replacement on its own, which fits the small 6 ounce bag size. The WholePrey ingredient approach and raw diet type framing align with ORIJEN's broader biologically-appropriate positioning, using wild-caught proteins with no added antibiotics.

6 oz bag, Tundra recipe
Grain-free, WholePrey ingredients
No added antibiotics, wild-caught
Meets AAFCO profiles for all life stages except large-breed growth

Who it's for

Owners looking for a grain-free training treat or food topper rather than a primary food, given the compact 6 ounce bag size. Owners of large breed puppies expected to top 70 pounds as adults should note it's not formulated for their growth stage.

Pros and cons

Pros

Grain-free with no corn, soy or wheat
Wild-caught, no added antibiotics
Meets AAFCO profiles for all life stages except large-breed growth
Compact bag suited to training use

Cons

6 oz bag is small for use as a primary food
Not formulated for large breed puppy growth (70 lb+ adults)

Performance notes

The recipe is grain-free and free of corn, gluten, potato, soy and wheat, built on wild-caught animal ingredients with no added antibiotics. It's positioned for appetite stimulation and training use, and it meets AAFCO nutrient profiles for all life stages except large-breed puppy growth, a meaningful exclusion for owners of big dogs.
