Overview
The Readaeer 001 is a lightweight exercise mat made from thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) foam, weighing 1.7 pounds and finished in pink. It targets home workouts, stretching and floor exercise rather than heavy weight training.
TPE is a common choice for budget mats because it is lighter and more cushioned than PVC without the odor some PVC mats carry. At 1.7 pounds this mat sits on the thinner, more packable end of the category, so treat it as a portable option rather than a thick-cushion mat for joint-heavy floor work.
- Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) construction
- 1.7 pound total weight
- Pink colorway
- Sized for home floor exercise
Who it's for
Suits someone doing yoga, Pilates, stretching or bodyweight routines at home who wants a mat light enough to roll up and carry. Less suited to anyone doing heavy kneeling work or looking for thick cushioning underfoot.
Pros and cons
- Light enough to roll and carry
- TPE material is a step up from basic PVC foam
- Compact for storage in small spaces
- Thickness isn't listed, so cushioning level is unclear
- Single color option (pink)
Performance notes
TPE foam mats like this one grip better than smooth PVC on most flooring and compress less over time, though the material's actual feel underfoot depends on thickness, which isn't specified here. The 1.7 pound weight is a useful proxy: mats in this weight range are usually on the slimmer side of the mat spectrum.
