Overview
A black foam mat weighing 2.2 pounds, the Retrospec 4423 gives floor exercises a cushioned surface without much bulk. It works for stretching, bodyweight circuits and general home workouts rather than one specific discipline.
Amazon lists only material, weight and color for this mat, so treat it as a straightforward padded floor mat rather than one built for a specific style of training. At 2.2 pounds it is light enough to roll and carry, which points to a mat meant for home use and travel rather than a thick gym mat left in place.

Who it's for
Anyone who wants a basic cushioned surface for floor exercises, stretching or bodyweight circuits at home. Not aimed at a single discipline like yoga or wrestling based on the listing.
Pros and cons
- Lightweight at 2.2 pounds for easy storage
- Foam padding cushions knees and elbows
- Simple black color fits any space
- No thickness or dimensions listed
- Foam wears faster than rubber or PVC mats
Performance notes
Foam mats like this cushion joints during floor work and roll up for storage, but foam typically compresses faster than PVC or rubber over repeated use. At 2.2 pounds this reads as a thin, portable mat rather than a thick training pad.
