Overview
Not a standalone camera with its own memory card, the Nova is a USB webcam that relies on the computer for storage and power. A privacy cover slides over the lens, and autofocus locks onto a face at desk distance.
Remote workers and streamers get a sharp image, quick focus and a pair of mics without extra gear. It cannot follow a moving speaker and the field of view is fixed, so a wide group shot may not fit.
Who it's for
A home office worker, teacher or content creator on Windows, a Mac or an Android TV with a USB-A port. The auto light correction helps in changing room light. Anyone filming a whole conference table should look at a wider lens.
Pros and cons
- Sharp 4K output
- Phase detection autofocus
- Two built-in microphones
- Privacy cover included
- Fixed field of view
- No pan or tilt tracking
- USB-A connection only
- No on-camera storage
Performance notes
Phase detection autofocus measures the subject distance directly, so it refocuses faster than contrast-based systems when you lean in or hold up an object. Auto light correction adjusts exposure when the room light changes, which helps with window glare. The 4K image is limited to the frame rate in the key facts, and smoothness drops in low light.
