A six-pack of short-wand lighters for candles, grills and fireplaces that holds fingers farther from the flame than a pocket lighter. The wand is short, so very deep jars may still be awkward.

Overview
Candle lovers and grill owners get a pocket-size lighter with a short extended wand, so the flame starts a little away from the fingers. Each lighter in the pastel six-pack is child-resistant and tested before sale.
The short wand reaches into jar candles and grill ports without the bulk of a long utility lighter. It is still short, so deep containers and fireplaces need careful angling, and refill details are not given.
Who it's for
Homes with jar candles, tabletop grills and holiday centerpieces get compact lighters in soft colors. People needing long reach for deep burners should choose a full-length utility lighter.
Pros and cons
- Wand holds fingers back from flame
- Each lighter tested
- Compact enough for a drawer
- Soft pastel colors
- Short reach for deep jars
- Refill details not listed
- Assorted colors, not chosen
Performance notes
The extended wand moves the flame ahead of your hand, which reduces the angle needed to reach a candle wick. The child-resistant mechanism needs a firmer press before lighting, which can take practice.
