Overview
Not a bulky folding lawn chair, the Helinox Beach Chair (re) packs into its own carrying case and folds down on an aluminum frame. Flat feet spread the load so the legs stay on top of soft sand, and the title says it uses sustainable materials.
Low carry weight paired with a high load rating makes this an easy chair to bring on foot to a beach or lakeshore. Without armrests or extra recline settings, it suits upright reading more than napping.
Who it's for
Beach days, lake trips and festival lawns where you carry everything in suit this chair. People who want arms to rest on or a reclined lounge posture should look at a different design.
Pros and cons
- Very light to carry
- High listed load rating
- Flat feet for soft ground
- Carrying case included
- Single recline position
- Packed size and seat height not listed
- Title and specs disagree on weight
Performance notes
Comfort depends on how the polyester seat tensions across the aluminum frame, since no padding is listed. On sand, flat feet spread load over a larger area, which slows sinking compared with pointed legs.
