Overview
Sharing photos from a phone, a cloud album or an email, this Aura Carver gathers family pictures on one HD screen over Wi-Fi. Setup takes about a minute, and a Windows PC can mirror its screen to it wirelessly.
Fast setup and free storage make it simple to hand to someone less comfortable with technology. It depends on Wi-Fi and a nearby outlet.
Who it's for
Adult children setting up a frame for parents or grandparents will appreciate the quick setup. Anyone hoping to load photos from a USB stick or memory card should check other frames.
Pros and cons
- About a minute to set up
- Free unlimited storage
- Several ways to send photos
- Windows PC screen mirroring
- Short video clip limit
- Physical photo card slot not listed
Performance notes
New photos appear as family members share them, since the frame syncs over Wi-Fi from the app, iCloud, Google Photos, email and text. Portrait pairing places two vertical photos side by side on the wide screen. Slideshow speed and auto on and off are set in the app.
