SUNPOW Rechargeable Metal Detector for Adults

Overview

A treasure hunter walking a beach, field or garden gets a rechargeable detector with a wide double D coil and a backlit screen. The lithium battery charges between outings and the coil is named waterproof in the title.

A wide coil covers ground quickly and the backlight helps in low light. The listed item dimensions are a one inch placeholder, and the specs omit weight, depth and mode details.

Who it's for

Weekend hunters who want to search wet sand and shallow water with a sealed coil will be at home. Competitive hunters and relic seekers should look for stated depth and tuning options.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

A double D coil gives wide, even coverage and handles mineralized ground better than a plain round coil. Ground conditions and target size decide the depth reached, and no figure is given. Wet sand and salt water raise noise, so slow, level sweeps help.
