More from this brandAll Vector Optics rifle scopesOverview
Built around a 30mm tube, the Vector Optics Veyron GENII HD SCFF-73 is a 4-16x44mm first focal plane riflescope aimed at compact air guns and lightweight firearms rather than full-power rifles. It pairs an illuminated mil-etched reticle with locking turrets and a side focus wheel for parallax adjustment.
Despite sitting under Rifle Scopes in the catalog, the product copy and the 9.88 inch, 22.75 ounce build point squarely at PCP airguns and compact platforms rather than magnum centerfire rifles. First focal plane construction keeps the reticle's mil subtensions accurate at any magnification, which matters for the VVE-1 tree reticle's holdover points. With only a couple of ratings on file, treat the feedback as early impressions rather than a settled track record.
- 4-16x44mm first focal plane, 30mm tube
- 6-level illuminated mil-etched reticle
- IP56 water resistance and 750G shock rating
- 9.88 in long, 22.75 oz
Who it's for
Airgun shooters and owners of lightweight rifles who want a first focal plane scope with real elevation and windage travel (up to 30 MIL and 25 MIL) for longer-range plinking or field target work. Less suited to shooters who need glass proven over years on heavy magnum recoil.
Pros and cons
- FFP holdovers stay accurate across the whole zoom range
- Side parallax adjusts down to 10 yards for close airgun distances
- Locking elevation and windage turrets protect zero
- Light at 22.75 oz for compact platforms
- Only a couple of ratings on file, so long-term reliability is unproven
- No stated glass brand pedigree beyond fully multi-coated lenses
Performance notes
The FFP design keeps the VVE-1 mil tree reticle's subtensions true across the full 4-16x zoom range, so holdover points stay accurate at low or high magnification. Side focus parallax adjustment runs from 10 yards to infinity, which suits the shorter distances typical of airgun shooting, and 1/10 MIL clicks give fine adjustment when zeroing.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Vector Optics Veyron GENII SCFF-73 a first or second focal plane scope?
It is first focal plane (FFP), so the mil tree reticle's holdover points stay accurate at any magnification setting from 4x to 16x.
What is the parallax adjustment range on this scope?
The side focus wheel adjusts parallax from 10 yards out to infinity, which covers typical airgun and close to mid-range rifle distances.
Will the Veyron GENII fit a full-power centerfire rifle?
The listing markets it for compact air guns and lightweight firearms specifically, built at 22.75 oz and 9.88 inches long, rather than for magnum recoil.
