Overview
Talking to truckers and checking the weather on a long drive is what this Uniden CB is for, with sideband modes, NOAA weather at a button and quick access to emergency channel nine.
Drivers get full CB coverage with sideband, weather alerts and a mic that cuts cab noise, plus built-in SWR for antenna matching. No antenna is listed, and real range depends on the antenna and conditions.
Who it's for
Long-haul trucks, RVs and off-road rigs suit a fixed-mount SSB radio. Casual users wanting something portable should look at a handheld.
Pros and cons
- SSB for more channel options
- NOAA weather at a button
- Quick emergency channel access
- Customizable display color
- Antenna not listed
- Wireless mic sold separately
- Spec entries look unreliable
Performance notes
Clear transmissions depend on antenna match, which the built-in SWR helps you check, and the noise cancelling mic cuts background cab noise. Range depends on the antenna and conditions more than the radio itself.
