Liforme Original Yoga Mat 4.2mm

Overview

The Liforme LYM is a gray rubber exercise mat weighing 5.51 pounds, noticeably heavier than foam mats in the same category because natural rubber is denser than EVA or NBR foam. That added density is generally what gives rubber mats their grip once a session gets sweaty.

Liforme built its name on rubber yoga mats, and the material choice here follows that pattern: rubber trades portability for tack underfoot, which matters most in poses that put weight on the hands. The heavier build also means the mat is less likely to shift during a session. No thickness is listed, so buyers wanting a specific cushioning level should confirm before buying.

Who it's for

Suits practitioners who prioritize grip and stability, especially in sweatier styles of yoga where a mat needs to hold its position. Less ideal for anyone who wants the lightest possible mat to carry to a studio.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

Natural rubber is denser and tackier than foam alternatives, so the mat resists sliding under hands and feet as a session heats up. The tradeoff for that grip is weight. At 5.51 pounds this mat is heavier to roll up and carry than an EVA or NBR foam mat of similar size.
