Overview
Truckers and road trippers get a CB radio from Uniden with a display whose backlight switches between seven colors to match the cab lighting. It uses a digital tuner and transmits at standard CB power.
The selectable display color makes it easy to read at night and blend with a dashboard. Almost everything else is missing from the listing, from channel count to what mounting hardware is in the box.
Who it's for
Drivers adding a CB to a truck or car get a readable, color-adjustable display. Anyone needing confirmed features such as weather alerts or a PA output should ask the seller first.
Pros and cons
- Display color selectable
- Backlit for night driving
- Standard CB output power
- Few specs in the listing
- Not water resistant
- PA output listed as none
- Antenna requirement not stated
Performance notes
Talk range depends on the antenna, its mounting and the vehicle ground plane far more than the radio itself, since output power is fixed. The backlit display stays readable at night when its color suits the cab lighting.
