Overview
A grain-free dry dog food from Instinct's RawBoost line that mixes kibble with freeze-dried raw beef pieces, sold in a 20lb bag for all life stages.
Instinct built this recipe around adding freeze-dried raw pieces directly into the kibble rather than as a separate topper, aiming to lift the protein content of a standard grain-free formula. It is marketed as corn, gluten, soy and wheat free, with a grass-fed protein claim attached. Nature's Variety, the manufacturer, positions it for skin, coat and digestive support.
- 20lb bag, all life stages
- Freeze-dried raw beef pieces included
- Grain-free, corn/soy/wheat free
- Made by Nature's Variety
Who it's for
Owners wanting the convenience of dry kibble with some of the appeal of raw feeding, across puppies through senior dogs. Less relevant for owners already committed to a fully raw or fully grain-inclusive diet.
Pros and cons
- Freeze-dried raw beef pieces mixed into the kibble
- Grain-free and free of corn, soy, wheat
- Suitable for all life stages
- 20lb bag likely needs frequent reordering for large dogs
Performance notes
The freeze-dried pieces are mixed into the bag rather than sold separately, so every scoop carries some raw beef alongside the kibble base. Instinct frames the grain-free, allergen-free formulation as support for digestion and coat health rather than a specific medical claim.
