Overview
Neoprene gives the ProsourceFit ps-1156-fwv-20 its stretch, and the listing names it as the 20 lb size version of this weight vest, though the recorded item weight of 12 pounds does not match that figure.
Neoprene vests like this one distribute added weight across the torso for exercises such as squats, lunges or weighted walks, chosen for stretch and breathability over stiffer nylon vests. The spec sheet here is inconsistent: the size field names the 20 lb version but the item weight is recorded at 12 pounds, so the actual loaded weight is worth confirming on the product page before buying.
- Neoprene material
- 20 lb size version
- Black colorway
- Built for cross and strength training
Who it's for
Lifters and cross trainers who want added resistance for bodyweight and strength circuits. Not for anyone who needs a precisely known weight for competition training without checking the discrepancy first.
Pros and cons
- Neoprene fits closer to the body during dynamic moves
- Built for cross training and gym strength work
- Listed item weight of 12 pounds does not match the 20 lb size label
- Single black colorway only
Performance notes
Neoprene construction stretches with torso movement more than rigid vest materials, which keeps the vest in place during dynamic exercises like lunges or box step ups.
