Overview
A landing net with a straight handle and rubber netting, sized at 28 by 13.5 by 14 inches, built for fly fishing and both saltwater and freshwater use.
Rubber netting rather than knotted mesh is worth noting on its own, since rubber is gentler on a fish's slime coat and less prone to snagging hooks. The listed dimensions cover the hoop and handle together rather than just the net bag.
- Rubber net material
- 28 x 13.5 x 14 inch size
- Straight handle design
- Rust resistant and lightweight
Who it's for
Anglers who practice catch and release and want a net that's gentle on fish, or anyone who wants one net that works across fly, saltwater and freshwater fishing.
Pros and cons
- Rubber netting is gentle on fish for catch and release
- Works across fly, saltwater and freshwater fishing
- Rust-resistant materials suit frequent water exposure
- Straight handle only, no telescoping or folding option listed
- 28-inch overall size may be small for larger fish
Performance notes
Rubber netting reduces the chance of hooks snagging in the mesh and is gentler on a fish's protective slime layer during release, an advantage over traditional knotted nets. The straight handle and rust-resistant build point toward regular use around water.
