Overview
Better players who want distance off the tee get a lower spin tour ball from Callaway, built around a Hyper Elastic SoftFast core with a Tour Aero cover design. It aims for straight flight with the driver while still offering control around the green.
Spin reduction off the driver is the main idea, which straightens and lengthens tee shots for faster swings. Long irons fly on a penetrating line. Slower swing players may not generate the speed this design rewards.
Who it's for
Low handicap golfers whose drives balloon or curve from too much spin. Newer players with moderate swing speed will get little from the low spin design and should look at a softer, more forgiving ball.
Pros and cons
- Lower spin straightens drives
- Penetrating long iron flight
- Greenside control retained
- Tour Aero for steady flight
- Suited mainly to faster swings
- Less spin for holding approaches
- Layer count not listed
Performance notes
Driver distance comes from cutting spin off the tee, which flattens the flight and adds roll. The SoftFast core drives ball speed, while the cover still lets wedges grab on short shots. Dispersion depends on the aero design holding flight steady in wind.
