Overview
A hybrid cover blended with a DOW impact modifier wraps a soft compression core in the Callaway Supersoft. The core sends energy into ball speed and the cover adds greenside control without a hard feel off the face.
Soft feel paired with low spin off the driver makes the Supersoft a forgiving choice for slower swings, since lower spin cuts slices short. Spin with the wedges is less aggressive than a tour urethane ball.
Who it's for
Good for weekend players who want straighter, higher shots from the long clubs. Skilled players shaping wedge shots will miss the bite of a urethane cover.
Pros and cons
- Soft feel on putts and chips
- High launch with long clubs
- Low spin reduces side curve
- Bright orange is easy to find
- Less wedge bite than tour balls
- Compression value not listed
- Orange may distract some players
Performance notes
Ball speed comes from a soft core that compresses and rebounds efficiently. Low driver spin shrinks sideways curve, while the HEX dimple pattern lowers drag and adds lift for longer carry. The hybrid cover blend sets how much grip the ball gets on short shots.
