Overview
Not a low spin ball for only the fastest swings, the Callaway Chrome Soft is aimed at a wide range of golfers who want soft feel and forgiveness. A SoftFast core and Tour Aero design back distance, and red and blue True Track lines help alignment.
Feel is the reason most golfers choose this ball, paired with forgiveness on mishits and spin around the green. The True Track lines add a visual aid for putting. Pack size and layer count are missing from the listing.
Who it's for
Weekend and club golfers who like a soft feel and want help lining up putts. Golfers who want the lowest spin for driver speed should look at a lower spin tour model.
Pros and cons
- Soft feel off the face
- Forgiving for many swing types
- True Track lines aid alignment
- Tour Aero for steady flight
- Ball count not listed
- No layer count given
- Not a low spin driver ball
Performance notes
Soft compression gives the feel this ball is known for while still producing speed from the core. Spin around the green lets chips check up. The red and blue track lines make the ball's roll visible on the putting green, which shows if the stroke is on line.
