Overview
Not a single high capacity drive, this bundle is a set of five separate SanDisk Ultra Flair sticks with a GoRAM lanyard. Each plugs into a standard USB Type A port, reads quickly on newer USB ports and falls back to older port speed where needed.
Spreading files across several identical drives suits offices, schools and anyone who gives files away. SanDisk SecureAccess password protection and RescuePRO recovery add software extras. The write figure in the spec table is modest, so copying to each drive is slower than reading from it.
Who it's for
Teams, teachers and families sharing documents or photos can label one stick per person. People who need fast large writes or USB-C plugs for phones and new laptops should choose another drive.
Pros and cons
- Five identical drives in one bundle
- Quick reads on USB 3.0 ports
- Works in older USB 2.0 ports
- Password protection software included
- Write speed listed far below read speed
- USB Type A only, no USB-C
- Recovery software needs a download
- Small capacity per drive
Performance notes
Read speed depends on the port: a USB port of the newer standard reaches the rated read figure, while an older port limits it. Writing large files is governed by the slower write figure, so copying to the drive takes noticeably longer than copying from it.
