Overview
The Sunny Health & Fitness SF-RW522016 is a magnetic-resistance foldable rower with a 48-inch slide rail built to accommodate rowers up to 6 feet 8 inches. It suits home exercisers who want a low-impact, full-body cardio machine without the footprint or price of a gym-grade unit.
The included SunnyFit app adds guided workouts and scenic rows at no extra cost, which is unusual at this price point. It folds for storage, though the onboard monitor itself is basic rather than a smart touchscreen.
- 8-level magnetic resistance system
- 48-inch slide rail, 44-inch inseam
- Folds for compact storage
- Steel frame construction
Who it's for
Suits people easing into cardio who want a quiet, low-impact machine that folds away between uses, including taller users up to 6 feet 8 inches thanks to the extended rail. Less suited to rowers chasing max-effort resistance or a built-in screen with streaming classes.
Pros and cons
- Notably quiet magnetic resistance
- Long rail fits users up to 6'8"
- Free SunnyFit app with guided workouts
- Straightforward, well-labeled assembly
- Foot pedals shift during hard strokes
- Onboard stat tracker is fairly basic
- Top resistance level felt light to some
Performance notes
The 48-inch rail and 44-inch inseam give taller users, including one reviewer at 6 foot 5 and 260 lbs, full extension without hitting the stops. The onboard stat tracker is basic; pairing with the SunnyFit app via phone is what unlocks fuller workout data and video content.
