Overview
Freeze dried raw patties made with 95% meat, organs and bone from grass-fed beef, sold as a 17.5 ounce bag that works as either a complete meal or a mixer topper.
Freeze drying is meant to preserve raw nutrition without cooking, and Open Farm markets the patties as usable straight as a full meal or broken up over kibble as a topper. Organic leafy greens and coconut oil round out the recipe alongside the grass-fed beef. As a raw style diet it typically needs more careful handling than cooked kibble.
- 95% meat, organs and bone, grass-fed beef
- Freeze dried patty format
- Usable as complete meal or topper
- 17.5 ounce bag
Who it's for
Owners feeding a raw or freeze dried diet, or looking to boost a kibble meal with a raw topper. Owners who want a low cost everyday staple food should compare the cost per pound against standard kibble first.
Pros and cons
- 95% meat, organ and bone content
- Works as full meal or kibble topper
- Grass-fed beef with organic greens added
- 17.5 oz bag is a small portion size
- Raw style diet needs careful handling
- Premium price point versus standard kibble
Performance notes
The patties are freeze dried rather than cooked, which the brand positions as preserving more of the raw meat, organ and bone nutrition than a baked kibble process. Organic leafy greens and coconut oil are included alongside the grass-fed beef. Because the format is patties, portions can be fed whole or crumbled over existing food.
