Overview
Open Farm's freeze-dried raw morsels are made with 95 percent grass-fed beef meat, organs and bone, mixed with organic produce and superfoods like turmeric and coconut apple cider vinegar. The 13.5 ounce bag can serve as a complete meal or a topper for active dogs at any life stage.
Freeze-dried raw format keeps the ingredient list closer to a raw diet than kibble while avoiding the storage and handling of frozen raw food. Open Farm markets the beef as humanely raised and the ingredients as human-grade, positioning this as a premium option relative to standard freeze-dried lines.
- 95% meat, organs and bone
- Grass-fed, human-grade beef
- 13.5 oz bag
- Complete meal or topper, all life stages
Who it's for
Owners of dogs at any life stage who want a raw-style diet without frozen storage, either as the full meal or as a topper added to existing food. Less relevant for owners on a tight food budget, since freeze-dried raw runs at a premium per pound.
Pros and cons
- 95 percent meat, organs and bone
- Human-grade, grass-fed beef
- Works as complete meal or food topper
- Premium price point typical of freeze-dried raw
- Small 13.5 oz bag size
Performance notes
Freeze-drying removes moisture while preserving more of the raw ingredient structure than cooking or extrusion does, which is the appeal of this format over standard kibble. The added superfoods and organic produce round out the primarily meat, organ and bone base rather than replacing it.
