Overview
An exercise mat from HAPBEAR, model HBYM01, made from thermoplastic elastomer and measuring 72 by 48 inches in black, weighing 4 pounds. Its width puts it well beyond a standard single-width yoga mat.
At 48 inches wide, roughly double a typical 24 inch yoga mat, this mat is built more for general floor workouts like HIIT, stretching, or bodyweight training than for yoga poses that assume a narrow mat edge. TPE material is a common alternative to PVC, generally lighter and marketed as lower odor, though actual performance depends on the specific formulation used.
- Thermoplastic elastomer material
- 72 x 48 inch black mat
- 4 pound item weight
- Model HBYM01
Who it's for
Home exercise users who want floor coverage wide enough for varied movement, jumping jacks, or stretching routines, rather than practitioners who specifically need a narrow yoga-mat footprint.
Pros and cons
- Extra width gives room for varied movement
- TPE material keeps weight down at 4 pounds
- Wider footprint needs more storage space
- Not marketed as yoga-specific despite category placement
Performance notes
TPE construction keeps the mat relatively light at 4 pounds while still providing cushioning underfoot, and the extra width gives more room for lateral movement than a typical yoga mat allows. Its larger footprint does mean it takes up more storage space when not in use.
