Overview
Cork's T-YB001 yoga block ships as a two piece set made from solid cork, weighing 1.77 kilograms, about 3.9 pounds, for the pair. Each block shares the same firm, grippy cork build rather than softer foam.
Cork blocks trade the light weight of foam for a denser, grippier surface that many practitioners prefer for balance poses. At 1.77 kg for two blocks, this set sits on the heavier end of the yoga block category, which typically means a more stable base under the hand or foot.
- Solid cork construction
- Two piece set
- 1.77 kilograms total weight
- Natural cork color
Who it's for
Fits yoga practitioners who want a firmer, more slip-resistant prop than standard foam blocks, especially for standing poses that need a stable platform. Less suited to anyone prioritizing the lightest possible travel gear.
Pros and cons
- Cork surface grips better than foam under sweaty hands or feet
- Sold as a matched two piece set
- Denser material holds shape under weight
- Heavier than a foam block, at 1.77 kg for the pair
Performance notes
Cork is naturally textured and becomes tackier with light moisture from hand or foot contact, which is why it is a common choice for balance heavy sequences. The material also holds its shape under sustained pressure better than soft foam.
