Overview
A living room shelf, a hallway wall or a grandparent's kitchen is where the Aura frame earns its place, showing photos and videos that family members send from their phones. It sets up over WiFi through the Aura app and can stand on a table or hang on a wall.
Remote sharing is the core benefit: anyone invited can add pictures from anywhere, and storage carries no fee. It depends on WiFi and a power cord, and the spec sheet disagrees with the bullets on screen size and resolution.
Who it's for
Families spread across cities who want a shared photo display for parents or grandparents. Homes without WiFi, or people who want an offline frame, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Photos added from any phone
- Free unlimited storage
- Stand and wall kit both included
- Auto brightness and night shutoff
- Requires WiFi to receive photos
- Corded, no battery operation
- Spec sheet conflicts on screen size
Performance notes
Photos travel from the app to the frame over the internet, so a stable home WiFi network decides how quickly new pictures appear. A light sensor adjusts screen brightness to the room and the frame switches off at night to save power. Automatic cropping fits images to either orientation.
