Overview
A city apartment, dorm room or bedroom close to the broadcast towers is where the Televes Innova antenna works, pulling in high VHF and UHF channels from a compact tabletop body. Built-in gain control adjusts amplification on its own, and telescopic rods extend for VHF stations.
Automatic gain control is the standout, boosting weak channels without overloading strong ones, a common problem in dense cities. Its range is short, so suburban and rural viewers will need an outdoor or attic antenna.
Who it's for
City cord-cutters in apartments with strong, mixed signals get an antenna that manages gain itself. Viewers far from towers should look at a larger outdoor antenna.
Pros and cons
- Automatic gain avoids overload
- Cell and FM interference filtering
- Works powered or passive
- Detachable, swappable coax
- Short range for suburbs
- High VHF only, no low VHF
- NextGen TV needs a separate tuner
- Cable length not listed
Performance notes
Gain control monitors high VHF and UHF separately, raising weak channels while holding back strong ones that would cause pixelation. Filters block cellular and FM signals before they reach the amplifier. Omnidirectional reception helps when towers are in different directions, though distance still sets the limit.
