Overview
At 2.1 pounds, the Gaiam 05-62429 is a light PVC mat printed in the Pink Marrakesh design, sized for rolling up and carrying to a yoga class or studio.
PVC is the standard material for yoga mats because it grips well and rolls tightly, and at 2.1 pounds this mat is light enough to carry to a class or studio. The Pink Marrakesh print is a design choice rather than a functional spec, so expect a decorative pattern rather than added texture or grip features.

Who it's for
Yoga practitioners or anyone wanting a light, printed mat for studio or home stretching. Not built as a thick cushioned mat for high impact floor work.
Pros and cons
- Light at 2.1 pounds for carrying to class
- PVC material grips well underfoot
- Pink Marrakesh print stands out visually
- Thin construction limits cushioning for high impact work
- PVC can have an odor when new
Performance notes
PVC mats grip most floor surfaces well and roll into a compact size, which is where the 2.1 pound weight comes from. The tradeoff with a light PVC mat is less cushioning than a thicker foam or rubber mat for higher impact movement.
