A listing appears only when it has a recorded price, a minimum customer rating, and enough ratings or monthly sales. Generic and unbranded listings are left out, while every real brand stays, including brands sold only on Amazon. The ones that pass are ordered by the ProductDome score, which weighs owner satisfaction, rating volume, demand and data quality.
Saw palmetto supplements are made from the berries of the saw palmetto palm and are sold as capsules, softgels and tablets, often marketed for prostate and urinary health in men and sometimes for hair. Research results on their effects are mixed, so the first decision is to talk with a doctor about symptoms before starting, since urinary symptoms can have several causes that need checking.
Extract and dose are the next questions. Products vary between standardised extracts with a stated percentage of fatty acids and plain berry powder, and between single ingredient products and blends with other herbs. Compare the amount of extract per serving and the standardisation on the label.
Side effects and interactions matter. Saw palmetto can cause mild stomach upset and may interact with hormone medicines and blood thinners, and it is not recommended during pregnancy.
Before buying, check the extract type, dose, servings, other ingredients and independent testing information. Tell your doctor about saw palmetto before any prostate blood tests, and do not use supplements to delay medical advice. Many men take saw palmetto for months, so the cost per month matters; compare the price per daily dose rather than per bottle. Softgels with the extract in oil are common, while capsules of ground berries are cheaper but less concentrated. Results, if any, usually take weeks to notice, and the product should be stopped if symptoms worsen or new ones appear.
