Overview
Black Diamond joins two Positron carabiners with a lightweight Dynex dog bone to make this quickdraw. A keylock nose and an integrated insert hold the bottom carabiner in a clipping position.
Sport climbers get a light draw that clips smoothly and avoids snags on routes or when extending gear. The listing shows no breaking strengths or gate openings, which matter on a harder route.
Who it's for
Sport and gym-to-crag climbers who want a light draw with wire gates will find a standard setup. Anyone who needs rated figures or a longer sling should check the manufacturer sheet.
Pros and cons
- Lightweight Dynex dog bone
- Keylock nose avoids snags
- Insert holds bottom carabiner in place
- Strength ratings not listed
- One sling length only
- Color listing is garbled
Performance notes
Wire gates are lighter than bar gates and resist vibration, while the keylock nose lets the rope slide out without catching. The insert holds the lower carabiner oriented so the rope clips from the correct side.
