Overview
Extra firm is the operating word here: a rigid hollow core sits under multi density foam rated 50 percent firmer than the original GRID roller. The 13 inch length and textured exterior target tight muscle after training rather than gentle daily rolling.
It is explicitly not a starter roller.
- Extra firm, 50 percent firmer than original GRID
- Rigid hollow core resists flattening under weight
- Multi density textured exterior surface
- 13 inch length, sweat proof and wipes clean
Who it's for
Runners, triathletes and other endurance athletes already familiar with foam rolling who want deeper pressure than a standard density roller provides. Not a good starting point for someone who has never foam rolled before.
Pros and cons
- Too intense for first time foam roller users
- Texture is not uniform all the way around
- Costs more than a basic density foam roller

Frequently asked questions
Is the surface texture the same all the way around the roller?
No, at least one reviewer noted the finger like and knobby texture patterns vary around the roller rather than repeating uniformly.
